Ch. 32 - New Additions

It was back to the old routine at the Temple of Love.  Celebrations were in order since Eldora and Elen had reached all their toddler milestones and I was once again expecting.  The mertwins would soon become children and the lil bundle a toddler.  

Since the twins already loved water I knew my little beach babies would practically live in the ocean once they aged.  So for birthday gifts I got them each windsurfing boards.

Naturally their birthday party was celebrated on the beach with plenty of family and friends.  Cyrena did the honor of helping the girls blow out their candles.

Eldora and Elen grew into two beautiful little girls and couldn't wait until they could try out their new boards.

"I'm going to windsurf all day tomorrow and then the day after that we can go snorkeling with dad!"

A few days later the temple was no longer girls only as I welcomed twin boys into the family.  Little Fasya who looked just like his father Corey.

And his brother Feivel.

It wasn't long before we celebrated the boy's birthday party.

My handsome little men became adorable toddlers and were bathed in love and affection from all the lovely ladies of the house.

In no time at all the boys were walking, talking and potty trained.  

 Annnnd I got a unicorn!  A real live unicorn rainbow spouting, moonlight glowing, glitter trailing unicorn!!!  

His name is Sutter and he was a gift offering from a man named Amalan Aundil.  He asked that I have dinner with him if I was pleased with my gift and boy was I pleased.  So pleased that I decided right then and there as Sutter nuzzled my cheek that Amalan would be my next father candidate.  I mean the man did give me a unicorn after all.

Sutter and the girls took to each other right away and became fast friends.  Doria, Dasia and Diantha had all made the honor roll so they were taking a well deserved break on the beach with their little sisters.

It was a perfect day for water sports so Dasia showed the girls how to windsurf.

They took to it like fish to water and spent the rest of the day zipping around on the waves.

Elen and Eldora love the water so much I'm half afraid the two of them will just swim off into the ocean once they get their tails.  

The long day at the beach had everyone sound asleep in bed by the time it was time for me to meet Amalan for our date.

The letter that came with Sutter said he'd be waiting for me in front of the Midnight Moon Bistro.

I did a little fist pump when I saw that he was an elf.  Oh how I hope our child has pointed ears just like him. 

I put on my most charming smile and introduced myself.

"Good evening Mr. Amalan Aundil it is a pleasure to meet you I'm Aphrodite," I said.  Naturally I had to give him a few seconds to compose himself awed as he was by my dazzling aura.

"So beautiful," he breathed before clearing his throat nervously.  "I mean it is pleasure to meet you too.  Sutter is getting along well at your temple I take it?"

"He has been an absolute delight to the children and I.  You have to tell me how you came by such an amazing creature."

Over dinner I learned that Amalan was an accomplished horse breeder and farmer.  Natural talents for a high elf such as himself.  He hoped to establish himself here in Sunlit Tides but his broody personality often left him misunderstood by others.  He hoped I could help him improve his charisma so he formed better relationships with others.  

Being who I am the task was complete by the time our desert arrived to the table.  

After dinner I convinced Amalan to come up to the mountain with me so we could continue getting to know each other better.

He told me all about his beautiful homeland and how he hoped to breed some of his finest horses with the wild ones here on the island.  Before either of us knew it the sun was rising and our date was at an end.

"I really enjoyed spending time with you Amalan.  Someday soon you'll come over to the temple to visit Sutter.  I could mix you up a nice drink and convince you to work on my garden."

Ch. 31 - Punishment

Evelyn groggily got to her feet when she came to.  Her eyes momentarily widened in shock when she realized she was flesh and blood once more.  I was still fuming from our earlier encounter.  After all she'd done how dare she barge into my house and threaten me and mine.  

"I see you're awake. Feeling miserable in your new form I hope.  You know I thought you were dead and gone but you were actually stupid enough to reveal your black little spirit to me."

"You," she sneered.  "Where am I?"

"Oh just a dark little corner I send those suicidal enough to annoy me," I replied.

Evelyn's sneer turned smirk.  "You can't hold me here now that I've got my body back."  She waved both her hands at me then stared in shock as nothing happened.

"You have no power here Evelyn Alistair and you will pay dearly for all that you have done.  I've made you whole so that you will suffer in your punishment.  You should have never gone after my family."

Evelyn's face was a mask of fear and pain as the flames erupted beneath her feet.  

"Ah there's nothing like the smell of an evil roasted witch."

With a snap of my fingers the flames extinguished and a panicked Evelyn began begging for her release.

"Please please let me go I'll do anything you want I swear!" Evelyn cried.

"Its far to late for that Alistair plus you are doing exactly what I want.  Burning in a deep dark hole with nothing but your screams for company until I break the philosopher's stone."   

"Well it has been nice torching you and all but I've got an appointment at the salon to keep and date this afternoon.  Do stay warm dear ta-ta."

At the salon I got a mud bath and salt scrub to rub Evelyn's stink off of me before meeting Corey at the theater for our date.  Spending the afternoon with such an adventurous spirit was very refreshing after handing down divine punishment.  

Corey was in Sunlit Tides taking a little break from adventuring.  His exploration of some underwater tunnels in Egypt had not ended will for him.  The man deserved to relax and have a good time and I intended to make sure he did just that with me of course.

Cyrena and Calictus soon graduated after their birthday.  They both received the most popular award.  Cyrena for all the pranks she pulled and Calictus for his stoic attitude through his teen years.  The two moved out and went traveling with Davin to visit other werewolf packs on the mainland.  

Upon their return Cyrena surprisingly started a career in education.  As an adult she has become very family-oriented and hopes to have a large family of her own some day.

Calictus joined the military hoping to achieve his goal of having the perfect mind and body.  He and his beloved Penelope have also become engaged.

The two of them still come by the house to spend time with the girls.

The extra babysitting is much appreciated by the triplets.

Final exams are coming up so they have been spending time improving their skills by making good use of the drafting tables their father Trenton bought them.

Diantha clearly has the makings of becoming a mad scientist one day.  Lately she and the girls have been trying to make a cold weather bikini.

"I think we should stop for the day Diantha," said Dasia as she thawed out her sister for the third time.  "My blow dryer is starting to over heat."

"Okay," Diantha chattered.  "After today's failed experiment I'm almost positive synthesizing fabric from flame fruit would solve the dramatic loss of body heat problem."  

"Let's get you inside sis.  I'll light up the fire place."

"Ugh guys can you bring some more fire wood in?  I'm still freezing."

"Forget the fire Dia I've got the hot tub going," Doria called.

The girls weren't the only ones enjoying a refreshing steam during the crisp early spring weather.

I was up on the mountain with Corey enjoying the sauna going down my list to ensure a productive reproductive night.

1. Relax with hydrotherapy: Check.

2. Inquire about previous adventures: Check.

3. Shiver to invite physical contact: Check.

4. Lean in for a kiss and let the magic begin: Check and check.

Ch. 30 - Confrontation

The mertwins development was coming along smoothly just in time for their up coming birthday.

"Say jewel for mama Elen."

"Je-wel," Elen babbled happily.

I was pressed for time today so Dasia was helping me out by teaching her baby sister to walk.

"Come on Eldora you can do it sweetie."

Tonight I was hosting a get together at Omni the new recreation lounge on the Cove and meeting with one of the cursed spirits.   

The Omni offered entertainment of practically every kind.  After a tour of the place it was plain to see that anyone would be hard pressed not to have a good time here.  

They played the latest music over the speakers, offered games of every variety and had both professional and bubble bars. 

There were party rooms with buffet tables.

And stages for live entertainment.

I personally liked the place and decided this was where Calictus and Cyrena would have their birthday party.  The pack would have plenty to eat and would hopefully be too entertained to cause property damage.

I was meeting with Candace McNulty for what I thought was a renovation consultation.  Her family had recently reopened the family's old daycare business McNulty's Munchkins in her honor. 

With the steady influx of tourists and happy child bearing marriages childcare was a steadily growing business on the island. 

"I'm crossing over!" Candace announced excitedly as I greeted her.

"What? Not that I'm not happy for you but how? The stone hasn't been destroyed yet are you sure its time?"

She nodded as tears rolled down her face.  "Another baby was born and they named her Candace after me.  When I laid eyes on that beautiful baby I felt a huge weight lifted from me and started seeing a bright light.  My sweet Rodger came through and told me it was time to go.  I just wanted to tell you thank you before I left.  Thank you, thank you so much Aphrodite!"  With that she disappeared.

I stood stunned for a few minutes then bought a round of drinks and toasted to Candace's good fortune.  My child rearing and matchmaking had finally paid off.  The stone had weakened to the point that it couldn't maintain it's firm hold on the souls.  

Candace's passing had the other spirits ecstatic.  Coming from anyone else that level of emotion would have been morbid but these poor souls had seen others fade, their families wallow in misery for generations and bloodlines die out.  They attended the twin's birthday party with high hopes and were eagerly awaiting more match ups and births.

Dorian was in attendance as well.  He would soon be heading on tour with with Octavio and his mother as a acrobat after graduation.

Davin transformed into his wolfman form before the party even started.  He could hardly contain his excitement at that twins becoming full fledged members of the pack.  Come next full moon as the pack leader's children they would lead the next hunt.

Since we had exclusive access to the venue the girls made a beeline to the juice bar to see a professional mixologist in action.   

Cyrena and I played a game of pool.

While Davin and Calictus played a game of bowling.

After everyone had a few hours to enjoy themselves it was time for the main event.

Cyrena was first to blow out her candles.

She aged into a lovely lupa right before our eyes.

Calictus was having such a good time he didn't even mind the crowd as he went up to blow out his candles.

As a young adult Calictus is as dashing as his father.

After the party as I was heading to bed when I spotted one of the gnomes in my room.  I didn't think anything of it as it was near my television and the things seemed to enjoy electronic entertainment until it spoke to me.

"Had yourself a good time with your filthy mutts, brats and spooks tonight did you?  Think you've accomplished something special with all your meddling now that nosy nanny is truly dead?  Well you haven't and if you keep at this you silly little harlot I will end you and your spawn!"

"Alistair?" I gasped shocked to hear her voice coming from the gnome.  Rage soon over came my surprise after realizing the vile creature was still around.  

"Yes I am Evelyn Alistair and I am still a powerful witch even in the after life.  Stop your meddling or you will regret it."

"News flash Evelyn goddess trumps witch and I'm going to ruin your afterlife.  Now get out of my house &%#!@!"
