Ch. 22 - Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice

It was another cold winter morning but the offerings sitting in my foyer warmed me all the way from my head down to my toes.  The baby swings were adorable the girls were sure to love them.

Life as the patron goddess of Sunlit Tides was good.  The offerings were over flowing and there were topless men and beaches as far as the eye could see.

I moved the swings to the kitchen and put the girls in as I made preparations for their birthday party that afternoon.  The girls were a wonderful audience as I practiced my mixology skills.

"This is a little trick they showed me how to do down at the Blue Moon."

"Yech!  I think I'm going to have practice a little more before I can serve this to guests."  I grabbed a nice bottle of plum nectar I'd bought at the consignment shop for a great price and put it in the fridge to chill.

I had just laid the cakes on the counter when Trenton arrived.  He'd gone away for a few weeks to earn his degree in fine arts.  Trenton  already achieved his dream of becoming a fashion phenomenon with his own salon but having his degree on the wall just added more shine to his success.

"Congratulations Trenton!  I'm so happy for you," I told him as he showed me his degree.  "Later you'll have to tell me if the university parties are as wild as I've heard."

Alcander was the next to arrive with his growing family.  Wendi was glowing with excitement, the newest edition was do any day now.

"Ooh those are some powerful kicks little one.  We're going to have to start training now in order to keep up with this one at the soccer field."

Wendi jumped as a bulge slid from on side of her rounded stomach to the other.  "I think I'm going to sit down before this little one knocks me over."

It was time to start blowing out candles when Alena and Alesia arrived.  First to age up was baby Doria.

Next to become a toddler was Diantha.  I could tell already that she was going to be a little party animal.  She waved her little fists and cheered along with everyone else as she blew out her birthday candle.

Last to age up was our darling Dasia.  Trenton was brimming with happiness as he cheered and snapped what had to be hundreds of pictures of the girls.  He was in full daddy mode as he dressed the girls in their designer clothes and tied ribbons in their hair.

Trenton wasn't the only one in daddy mode.  Alcander started teaching Diantha how to walk as the birthday cake was being served.

Now that the girls were a bit bigger the twins wasted no time playing more interactive games with them.  As soon as he got the chance Calictus sat down with Doria for a game of peek-a-boo.

Kelly told us scary stories by flash light to practice for the big scout sleepover this summer as we ate cake.  His closing story was quite disturbing.

"So after over six hours of smooth uninterrupted play filled with building and designing for the newly expanded family the user hit save.  Then out of no where as the little blue circle spun happily on the screen the dreaded box appeared...Error Code 12...It was all gone all erased in one fell swoop.  The promotions, the new home, the park were lost and as for the children, it was like they never existed."  We all gasped, such a thing sounded too horrible to believe.  The night ended with all the adults wondering where on earth Kelly had heard such a horrifying story?

After a few disturbing dreams about Error Code 12 it was refreshing to wake up to the smiling faces of my three baby girls.

The triplets had slept through the night and woke up right after my morning bath.  The girls even waited quietly in their cribs as I did their hair and changed them one at a time.  After nine children I have to say I've got this modern day parenting in the bag.  It just may be time for mama to find a new papa.

After feeding and dressing the girls I left them to play with their toys while I cooked breakfast for Blasius and the twins.

Once the three of them were on the school bus I decided to play around with the online dating sites.  With the major boost in tourism on the island dating sites had become very popular to those looking for that island romance.  Lately I've been bombarded with so many match making and advertisement requests I had to put my phone on silent.   Not that I minded all the extra attention, in fact I gloried in it.

Since I had some down time I decided to match up some singles and organize a pool party meet and greet at Paradise Pools.  I created a a flyer of me in my summer best with the date and time and called it a day for the online dating scene.

By the time I uploaded everything the computer was in need of some repair.  I guess that picture of me in that string bikini was just too hot for the system to handle.

The children returned home from school early since there were no field trips or after school activities so after homework they all spent time with the girls in the nursery.

Cyrena and Calictus were really enjoying being older siblings.  The two of them were already best friends with all three of the girls.

I took the opportunity to teach the girls to walk while Cyrena and Calitus played blocks with the other two.

Diantha, Doria and Dasia all learned to walk in no time at all.  With a little help I was sure I could have them potty trained before dinner but Blasius got a text message that had him running for the door.

I was going to ask him what in the world had him in such a hurry to go out in the cold with it about to snow but I already knew.

"Sorry about asking you out in such bad weather.  I really should have checked the weather report first."

"Oh it's no problem, I hear this place makes fantastic hot chocolate" Blasius replied.  "Here these flowers are for you my lady."
