Ugh!! Olympus has become so boring and Dionysus is getting on my last nerve. Sure he throws an awesome party but keeping the same one going for three hundred years is just ridiculous. Other gods would like to have parties too but its plain rude to throw a party at the same time as someone else. Party guests would have to choose, feelings would be hurt and offenses taken. Next thing you know Zeus is throwing around lightning bolts and the gods are at war.
I need a change of scene, the mortal world has been very active lately with the fairies and such running around. Its been far too long since I partied there and I know just the place to let loose. Watch out Cornucopia, here comes Aphrodite!
Wow! Cornucopia is so much smaller than the last time I was here. Oh right, the beach party, I remembered feeling a little guilty about what had happened all those years ago. I had challenged Poseidon to a few games of six shooter and afterwards he got a little carried away with the splashing causing a tidal wave. It washed away all the liquor and killed the party, the humans on the island didn't fare too well either.
I'd felt bad about the flooding and really enjoyed the beaches, so I moved some of my descendants to the island to help repopulate. By the look of things they haven't been too successful. Come to think of it, a long time has gone by since my last offering from them. I'll have to get on to them about that, now where is that temple?

Oh there it is, I approve of the location. Its good to see that they haven't been completely off task... Oh my me! I love the pool and gazebo. The pool parties must be legendary here. This vacation is going to be spectacular! I can't wait to meet the beautiful bunch that maintains this place and tan on the beach.
Hmm...all the handsome hunks glistening in the sun must be a sight to see. When I get my hands on them...wait, something strange is going on. Why is there no party going on right now? Its beautiful out, not quite as lovely as me, but it should be celebrated nonetheless for effort. And I could have sworn I left specific instructions that there should be a party at my temple everyday in case I felt like stopping by.
The place actually looks deserted but that's just not possible. I'm sure someone is frantically gathering rose petals for me to walk on as I cross the threshold of my temple for the first time.
Looking at the statues around the entrance while waiting for my greeting party I sigh remembering the love affair I had with the sculptor who made them. He had sinfully skillful hands. Seeing his work makes me think about letting hair my grow out again.
Okay, it has been over ten minutes and I'm starting to get annoyed. This place is big but not that big. Why have I not been greeted yet? Don't they know who I am?
"Hello!!! Is there no one here?!?" I shouted but there was no answer. There really is no one here. That's it I'm going to get to the bottom of this. I am Aphrodite and I will not tolerate such treatment and blatant disobedience!
"You there, fairy. Why is the temple of love empty?"
She jumps, dropping her fishing pole as I appear behind her. I make a mental note to not scare the mortals half to death. I came here for pleasure not for wrath. At least not yet, depending on her answer.
"Love temple?" she asks looking at me confused, "Oh, you mean the old matchmaker's house. That place has been deserted for over a hundred years."
